The only reason i lived here was because all of the good houses were taken.

Rent is way overpriced. Management is unfriendly and extremely unresponsive, and therefore maintenance takes forever. The only thing this place has going for it is the security, but even that is challenged when the automatic gate breaks and they sit around and wait 8 weeks to fix it.

I see that you are still living here at Campus Village, please stop by the office and I will be happy to address your concerns. We have a 24 hour turn around for Maintenance request unless it is a unique situation. Either way we always follow up to let you know when the job will be completed. As for the gate it was broken last summer for a period of time but since it has been fixed there have been no issues. We did not "sit around" and wait for it to be fixed, it was a matter of the company ordering parts and building a new fence that took so long for it to be completed.

THE Apartments are a rip-off. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone unless they can't find anywhere else to live. They cost to much for what you get. Also management is horrible. The landlord doesn't care about the tennants at all and will try and get as much money out of you as possible. They pride themselves in security but it's not any safer than anywhere else. The gates are a pain in the butt and don't make the apartments any safer anyways. I am very glad I am not living there anymore and like I said, they are a waste of money.

The rent is ridiculous for what you get. If you have a 5 bedroom apartment, you pay about 1400 per person for 3 months rent. That means the apartment costs 2333/mo... which is ridiculous for Flint.
Also, the utilities were included, but now if you go over a certain amount per month- you will be charged the remainder. They should reduce rent to a competitive rate and then charge per apartment for utilities (people might actually conserve then!)
You pay a cleaning fee... but the cleaning personnel only do a surface clean, and miss important things like dusting the blinds, or cleaning the ovens, etc.
Yes, it is furnished which is nice for moving every 3 months, but the furniture is extremely cheap and is not in the best condition. 2 bedroom apartments that are fully furnished do not include a dining room table - but a "dinette" cart, that I wouldn't trust a 100lb person sitting on the chairs.
The maintenance personnel is responsive, and clear the sidewalks and salt in the winter.
The gate is nice, but it frequently is broken, or remains open for long periods of times (although it was replaced recently). I personally would feel safer with a security system.
Another good point, is the staff is nice and Reagan tries to address concerns, however - I think the underlying issue of high rent won't be fixed.
In retrospect, I wish I would have rented a house rather than an apartment, since most the student houses are furnished and have security systems as well.

Wow, they actually charge extra for utilities now? They never did that while I was still renting there. That was one of the things that made the high rent worth it was not having to worry about utilities or water or anything.

Reagan is a much better landlord than Janie ever was, however the apartments were disappointing and a rip off. Rooms are small, internet slow, beds are...
The only plus side is that it is a gated community and you dont have to deal with Flintoid harrassment all that often. I was robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot for a 40oz of King Cobra, but that was 2007 and since then no issues.
The policies are strict, and if you have a radio larger than an alarm clock you can count on a noise violation. Alarm clocks only get you warnings...
