September 2007 - August 2008

There was a $100 nonrefundable cleaning fee charged to each occupant- yet when we moved in, the house had clearly not been cleaned- not even cosmetic cleaning like vacuuming. Appliances weren't clean when we moved in- i.e. mold in the fridge in addition to items still present in the fridge and there was tiling equipment in the tub still. We had a lot of problems with the landlord in getting things fixed for the first several months; to the point where we actually started to withhold rent and the landlord tried to sue us for nonpayment of rent (which we settled out of court -with them giving us a rent abatement). Once all those issues were taken care of, the house was good and the landlord got much better- however many repairs remained half-ass, ex: a light fixture and several outlets stopped working so instead of fixing it, they removed the light fixture completely and blocked the outlets instead of fixing the electrical component that is quite possibly a fire hazard. We left the house in MUCH better shape than we got it but I still wouldn't live there again or rent from WW again.
