Landlord's Description

2025 Joliet is a very charming and modern home that has the ability to comfortably accommodate either four or five students.

It features four bedrooms (one of which is large enough to accommodate two roommates) and one full bath plus one half bath. The renovated kitchen and original hardwood floors are easy to maintain and clean.

The two car garage and driveway provide plenty of off street parking while the deck and quiet backyard offer the ability to BBQ with friends.

This home is one of our best values and is located on one of the best streets around campus.

The rent rate is based upon how many live in the house. For instance, we have 5 living here so the cost for each tenant is $850/school term (3 months). If the number of tenants decreases to 4, each would have to pay somewhere around $950/school term.

Overall, the house looks nice and we've had no problems with heat/AC. The bedroom on the first floor is huge, so it's occupied by two (that bedroom also has a small bathroom). The other three rooms are upstairs along with a full bathroom. Washer/dryer are in the basement and both are fairly new and work well.

For the price we pay to live here each term I think this house definitely has among the best features per $ in the area. The landlord is awesome, friendly; he takes good care of his tenants. Any problems we've had always get taken care of promptly.

Pros - Rental rate, living space, it's furnished, security system, washer/dryer, great landlord.

Cons - DSL internet (it's painfully slow during high activity), only one fridge, garage isn't in very good shape (but we don't use it), not much cabinet space for food for five tenants.

I would highly recommend this house for a group of 4, and if two don't mind sharing a room, then I would still recommend it for 5. Six tenants would be pushing it here; one would probably have to live down in the basement (which does not have a spare room). I'm glad we found this house, and I'm amazed at how cheap the rent is here.
